Sodium silicate, often referred to as paohua-alkali, a kind of inorganic substance its aqueous solutions are usually referred to a sodium silicate, is a kind of mineral adhesive. Chemical formula: Na2O*nSiO2, it is a water-soluble inorganic silicate and has a range of uses. Silicate's ability to create a sodium ion layer on the particle's surface is crucial for preparing the surface for the specific separation. Water treatment The dilute solution of anionic silica supplied by soluble silicon can help to prevent corrosion of metal surface. As an ingredient in water, dissolved SiO2 may prevent corrosion in storage tanks of steel and distribution lines. It prevents the corrosion of pumps and pipelines by acidic water (for instance, mine drainage) as well as reduces the likelihood of corrosion occurring during ball rod mill grinding; and minimizes corrosion of machinery used in spray drying, agglomeration or dry mix detergent formulations and parts made of metal in laundry and dishwashing equipment.
