I know you in the dark
dreaming loud and singing soft
your picture show tells everything
circus clowns and high-class poodles
are the only ones
who seem to understand
melting in my hands
you taste so sweet to listen to
and so hard to bite
hush these lambs are dreaming now
hopping over fences
we could never keep
and their dreams will tell us everything
all the awkward funny pieces
gracefully fit in to my image again
melting from this body
this piece tells me to hold on to it
so tight----
ropes above our dream clouds
and if we fall
I think they'll catch us dreaming again
