matkaan läpi autiuden.
Kenttä taistelun taakse jäänyt
vain toistaa vaimeita kirouksiaan.

Veljeni ja viholliseni;
ei kukaan heistä sano sanaakaan.
Miekan terän tunsin rinnassani,
nyt kuulen kutsun Tuonelan.

Sade huuhtoo tuhot taistelun,
vereni virtaansa vie.

Alla tähtitaivaan pohjoisen
vaan en (enää) päällä maan...
Turhaan pelkäisin saapumista
kuolemattomien keskuuteen.

Käsi kädessä ikuisuuden
hyppään reunalta tyhjyyden.

My brothers together with my foes;

The edge of a sword I felt in my chest,

carry my blood along the streams.

Under the stars of the northern sky
but no more on the earth...
Needlessly would I fear my arrival
to the company of the immortal.
