Stuck here on this highway
In a river of red lights

A few things on my checklist
That I need to do downtown
So I step on to the sidewalk
Full of people all around

Someone said the city
Can be a lonely place
But even though I know
I can’t find one familiar face

Anywhere, anytime I’m on my own
I’ll hold on to the promise that I will never be alone

Even though it’s midnight
And I’m lying in the dark
I think of You up in Heaven
Yet You are in my heart
